Torche [Vinyl] LP (12" album, 33 rpm), CD Single Torche Format: Vinyl. Songs like 'Vampyro' and 'Fire' reveal two new elements to Brooks' songwriting skills - an almost poppy sing-songy catchiness in the song structures and the duelling guitar solos that appear in these tunes. The sonic assualt of the solos brings to mind the best /5(10).

Torche came into existence as an underground supergroup composed of vocalist/guitarist Steve Brooks (of stoner rockers Floor), lead guitarist Juan Montoya (also of Floor, plus sludgecore icons Cavity), bassist Jon Nunez (of grindcore merchants Shitstorm), and drummer Rick Smith (of every other band you can imagine), so their pedigree and experience were never in question so much as what in /5(10).
